Ivannea Mudanisse, (born October 25, 1979 in Maputo, Mozambique), better known by her stage name ‘’Dama Do Bling’’ is a Mozambican singer (rapper). She started discovering her passion for the music, when at age of 14 she participated in some hip hop freestyles, singing songs from ‘’DaBrat, ”Warren G’’, ’’Snoop Dogg, Queen Latifah, Lady of Rage’’ and others.. But she never took it seriously, it was just for fun and those singers were just hot at the time. But it was long time after that she started seriously, exactly, on 2005, when Lizha James (another Mozambican singer) was recording her second cd, and Dama Do Bling has featured on 2 songs of the album: ‘’Vou-te Fazer Chorar’’ and ‘’ Eu Nunca Pensei’’ After that, she accepted the challenge to record her own cd with the help of her fellowships Lizha, Catya and Bang and recorded her first solo song that was called ‘’Haterz’’. It became a great success as soon as it started bumping. One year later, September 2006, she released her first solo cd called ‘’Dama Do Bling’’. The album contained 10 songs, with participations of Lizha James, Catya, Denny OG, DRP and Hernani best singers in Mozambique. October, 2007 she is nominated on 4 categories on Channel O Music Video Awards, on the categories de “Best Female”, “Video of the year” “Best Video Director” and “Best southern”, winning the “Best Female” and “Best Southern”. In the same year she released her second cd called “Chamadas para a Bling”, with 15 songs, with participations of Lizha James, Doppas, Yara da Silva, Denny OG, and others Mozambican artists.. In November, 2007 she won one more award from 99Fm, a radio station on the category “Best Music of 2007 award”. In May, 2008 she inaugurates officially her website www.damadobling.com and get a special recognition from the Mayor of Maputo city for working as an activist and develop the culture. June, 2008, she released her first book, an auto biography called “Diário de uma Irreverent” ( The diary of an Irreverent girl). In September she is nominated for MTV Music Video Awards on the category of Best female video which took place in Abuja, Nigeria. In October of 2008 she’s invited to make part of the MTV and SHELL MAKING THE VIDEO project, an international project by joining artists of Africa. She worked with dj Cleo e Blecksem, south african artists on a song and video clip titled “Wena Uthini”. November she release her third cd “ Hits de Verão” a mixed álbum with rock pop, rave, hip hop and raggha. In Febrary 2009, she visits Nigeria for a 5 days tour with Nigerian artist Sasha the P from Storm records and records songs and video. In June 2009 she is nominated for o MMA (Mozambique Music Awards) on the categories of “Best Hip Hop”, “Best Pop Rock” and “Best Collaboration” wining this last one. In October she release her fourth cd “ Diferente mas Igual” dedicated to the women in Mozambique. Themes like “Super Woman”, “A long wait”, “Let´s stay together and “Thank you” are the strong messages on the album. In December 2009, she visits Namibia for a 10 days tour with namibian artists Gazza, Gal Level, Lady May and south african Mandoza. March 2010 she is nominated and won in three categories on MOAMAS – Museke Online African Music Awards for “Best Female artist”, “Best Hip Hop artist” and “Best Collaboration” with Nigerian artist Sasha. In September 2010 she is nominated for Channel O Music video award on the category “Most Gifted South Video”. Also nominated for O2 African Music Award on the category of “Best Collaboration with Sasha”. Also nominated for Mozambique Music awards in 5 categories “Video of the Year”, “Album of the year”, “Best hip Hop”, “ Best Collaboration feat Sasha” and “ Artist for the year” Nominated for Sound City Music Video Awards taking place in Lagos, Nigeria n the 20 November in 4 categories “Best Female Artist”, “Best Choreography”, “Best Editing Video” and “ Best video”, and won best choreography. March 2011 she releases her second book, dedicated to children titled Melissa and the rainbow. July she is nominated on MOAMAS – Museke Online African Music Awards in the category of best music video. September, she is nominated and won for Mozambique Music Awards in 3 categories: Artist of the year, Song of the year, Most popular artist. November, she releases her new single Bad Girl, which was number one hit for a week at National Radio. April 2012 after give birth to her first daughter she return to the showbiz with a mega concert “Divas Show” with Keri Hilson as main guest.
